A Night at the Firm Awards

We attended The Firm Awards last Thursday at 8 Northumberland Avenue. The event was a real celebration of the wide-ranging Online Recruitment Industry. The event was extremely inspiring and despite being extremely close to where the devastating attacks happened just days before, there was a real sense of positivity and a celebratory tone to the evening. The charity of the evening, Lumos, is a children’s charity that supports children who are poor, disabled or from an ethnic minority. The charity works to provide these children with the means to regain a family life and ultimately end the institutionalisation of children. It’s a great charity and they raised a huge amount of money on the night.

It was great to be shortlisted for so many awards and to be up against such large companies.  We picked up the award for The Best Social Recruitment Strategy for our work with wagamama. Interested in what we did to attract candidates and inform the people of New York that wagamama was coming to town and needed great people to join? Check out our work here.

The food was a definite hit for us. The pudding really spoke volumes and was very different. It was a golden syrup sponge served in a syrup jar. It was definitely an original take on an old classic, and it was extremely well executed.

All the winners and nominees were extremely well deserved and the night was one to remember. It was great to see so many familiar faces and catch up with old colleagues, friends and clients in such a grand venue. We even managed to carry the extremely heavy award back to our office! It is definitely our heaviest one to date.
