Frontend Developer
Position closed

Talent Works International specialises in talent communications, helping employers worldwide to create open, engaging career conversations with their talent communities. Our approach is insight-led: build employer brand identity, be creative through our campaigns and take the right messages to market through the right channels.

We create inspiring, integrated campaigns that help employers to attract and retain the right sort of people. But, where do you come into all of this? We can’t motivate leading industry talent to make a career move without grabbing their attention with highly functional, conversion oriented landing pages and microsites. We can’t capture these busy professionals without laying the foundations for a seamless application process. Plus, we certainly can’t turn innovative new site designs into a reality without a determined Frontend developer on hand.

Over to you.

About the role

You get the best of both worlds here. You’ll be working on our corporate website, as well as working on projects for our various global clients. Getting attuned to what works where, and for whom. You’ll work alongside UX Specialists, Copywriters, Art Directors and Motion Graphics Designers to deliver captivating attraction campaigns. You’ll also be comfortable working on international clients for our US office, building those relationships, gaining an understanding of their clients and delivering exceptional work.

About you

You’ll need to be at home in a dynamic creative team, with the enthusiasm to uncover better ways to work, better tools to use and better processes to undertake to keep us growing in all the right directions. To be considered, you’ll need a strong working knowledge of building and applying bespoke themes. Your skillset won’t end there though. In addition, you’ll have:

  • Coding language skills in JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS3, Sass & PHP;
  • Experience with RWD, cross-browser compatibility, WordPress and Drupal 8;
  • Working knowledge of GULP task runners;
  • Expert understanding and application of the Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Illustrator;
  • An understanding of GIT source control to track and monitor changes;
  • Experience using Linux servers.

You’ll have an eye for detail, and you’ll notice the little things that can make or break a web build. But, you’ll be able to see way beyond desktop, and it’ll come as second nature to optimize everything for mobile and tablet. Cross-browser testing may as well be in your DNA.

If you’ve got substantial agency experience, even better. But, we don’t discriminate. If your background is in-house and you’re looking to channel your efforts across a range of clients, there’s no better place to do it.
