cinch

Introduction

Online car marketplace cinch is changing the way we buy and sell cars, giving customers more choice and control. To achieve their ambitious growth plans, they needed to rapidly grow their Product and Engineering squads with the goal of creating a Manchester tech hub.

Solution

There was a wide range of vacancies to fill within the Product and Engineering squads, including user researchers, infrastructure engineers, software engineers, product owners and business analysts. Our teams built out consistent job and person specifications, created candidate screening documents and interview guides, and also ran focus groups to better understand the types of candidates we were looking for. As well as actively sourcing candidates ourselves, the team also worked closely with cinch to streamline and manage their PSL, ensuring that every candidate who engaged with cinch had a good experience.

Digital Attraction

To assist the sourcing capabilities, we ran a targeted digital attraction campaign across LinkedIn, Facebook, Google Search and Display. This campaign aimed to raise employer brand awareness for cinch amongst relevant tech talent in Manchester as well as drive applications through lead generation and a branded landing page. cinch have a huge consumer brand, and are currently one of the biggest advertisers in the UK, but their employer brand messaging was new to the market.

Partnership

Over a three-year period, our partnership with cinch grew to see Talent Works involved in recruiting for a huge number of roles across a wide range of areas: Engineering, Decision Intelligence, Security, Product and UX.

As well as building our attraction campaigns that were up and running quickly to support Direct Sourcing activities, our Creative teams also worked with cinch in a more strategic way, building their employer brand and careers website to give them a stronger, clearer, more enduring presence moving forwards.
